Electrical Testing
There are many types of electrical tests that can be done. The most common is a Completion certificate which is carried out and completed after every new installation and fuse box change. These certificates are done by us on official Elecsa certificates and come with the appropriate building control certificate that would have been required for carrying out the works.
These tests range in-depth and from a single circuit to the complete installation depending on the work that has been done and can range from a short period of time up to about 4 hours.
There is also the Electrical condition report which is where we inspect an existing installation and check for faults and compliance with the electrical regulations BS7671 and put all the information onto the certificate for the customer to see. These should be done at least every 10 years on a private house or 5 years or on re-let on a rented house.
Minor works certificates are carried out on exactly what they say minor works and can range from needing to be notified to building control where a customer copy is required to only need to be kept on record for the company.
All customer certificates are sent electronically via email using as a PDF but can also be sent as a paper copy on request.
